Patricia Sostaita passed away August 18, 2007, after battling with lung and brain cancer, but her memory remains well engraved in the hearts and minds of family, friends, and Salem College. The 236th Opening Convocation for Salem College began with seniors marching into Hanes Auditorium wearing their black robes and crazily decorated footwear - including Stephanie Parker with clanking beer cans attached to her shoes. Bomb threat shocks Salem

Just over one week ago, Salem College received its first bomb threat in memory of current school officials. According to Salem College Public Safety official records, the threat was reported at 10:45 a.m. September 2. However, the Public Safety report -- called the Daily Log Detailed Location Report -- gave no more details as to whom or from whom the threat was sent.… Post the First Comment

When orientation leaders came back from summer vacation to meet with Dean Barr, the first question was asked by Cody Temple. "Where is everything?!" The answer was not quite so short. For Salem students, the new academic year began without a student government president. During the summer, students were informed that Kelsey Finnie had resigned from the elected position. Renovation of Gramley Library comes to a close

Just in time for a fresh semester of studies, renovations spanning from the third floor to the ground floor of Gramley Library will finally end. Changes to the library began last January with the addition of a projector and screen to the Library Assembly Room.… Post the First Comment
